WHO IS LALA LABORATORIES?
Lala Laboratories is an underground facility where Lala Drona and her assistants, the Drones, research and develop inspiration products for society’s elite. The laboratory features separate wings for production and research, as well as dormitory areas for resident Drones and Muses.
THE MUSES
In Lala Laboratories, Muses, inspired by Greek mythology, take physical form and undergo experiments where they sacrifice themselves for the greater good— namely, the for creations of the laboratory leader, artist Lala Drona. These Muses come to the laboratory as volunteers and endure excruciating trials to produce unique forms of inspiration. This inspiration is researched and then developed into products consumed by the highest bidders within the art world. Though their role in the lab is the lowest on the hierarchy, it is viewed as an honorable and sacred position. This belief motivates them to remain and endure, pushing the boundaries of their inspirational power.

THE DRONES
In Lala Laboratories, Drones are the workers responsible for conducting Muse inspiration experiments and managing the day-to-day logistics of the lab. They are devoted to Lala Drona's mission of creating the most sublime and unique human experiences through her artworks, fueled by the inspiration they extract in their experiments.
Drones are connected through a Hivemind, activated upon their recruitment into the lab. This network allows them to hear each other's thoughts and share each other's experiences.

THE FICTIONAL CHARACTER
LALA DRONA
Lala Drona is a character within the fictional universe of Lala Laboratories, distinct from the real artist, but representative of parts of her psyche. The fictional Lala Drona runs the art laboratory and conducts experiments on muse inspiration extraction, while the real artist takes inspiration from this fictional universe to create the physical works of art that we experience as viewers.
Lala Drona is a trickster character who operates in the gray areas of art legislation, with some accusing her of muse abuse and torture, and the unethical industrialization of inspiration and creation practices.
In the laboratory, she is elusive, never appearing in person and leaving others to question whether she is truly present, somewhere else, or possibly nonexistent.
THE ART GUILD
The Art Guild is the ruling government body in the art world of the fictional universe. They create and pass art legislation, with Lala Drona being one of their most prominent dissenters. Lala Drona's tendency to push the boundaries of art legislation eventually leads to her incarceration in Paris Art Prison for a period of time.
